Promotions and referral offers
Run several promotions at once, offer a reward for referrals on your website's referral form, and get offers ready for your emails.
Promotions in the side menu is where you run offers and referral rewards. It is part of the Ultimate marketing package, for owners and admins, and it is being switched on business by business.
The page has three tabs:
- Promotions: everything you are running or getting ready.
- Referral form: the form on your website's referral page, and the snippet for adding it to a site.
- Points programme: your points program, which used to be at Company → Rewards. It works exactly as before; see Setting up a rewards program.
Two kinds of promotion
- A referral offer rewards people for sending someone your way. You say what the person who refers gets, optionally what their friend gets, and when a referral counts (for example when your friend's loan settles).
- An offer is anything else you want to promote.
You can run several at once. Each one stays a draft until you click Publish, so you can prepare it and come back later. A promotion can run for up to 12 months and ends at midnight Sydney time on its last day. Once published, its type can't change; End now stops it straight away.
Where a promotion shows
- On my website's referral form: live referral offers (up to three) show above the form on your referral page, with their terms. The form itself doesn't change.
- In the Marketli app: your connected clients see it on their Rewards tab. On an offer they can tap I'm interested; on a referral offer, I know someone. Either way you're told who, and a chat opens with them so they can pass on the details.
- Available to add to emails: you can pick the promotion in an email template, and it shows in emails only while it's live. You can add a button with its own words and link.
Terms
A referral offer and a prize draw need terms. They are your terms: Marketli prompts you with what to cover (what counts, when the reward is given, who can't take part, the end date) but doesn't write them for you. You are responsible for the offer and for honouring it.
Prize draws
Tick This is a prize draw if winners are picked by chance. Prize draws can need a permit in some states, so the form links to your state's regulator to check before you publish. Marketli doesn't decide whether you need one.
Images
An image is optional. If the promotion shows on your referral form or in emails, describe the image for people who can't see it. When you publish, Marketli makes a public copy of the image (resized, with photo details such as location removed), because websites and emails need to load it without signing in. Remove published image deletes those copies; images in emails you have already sent will then stop showing.
