    MARKETLI

    Unlocking your property journey

    Company phone and SMS

Connect your own Twilio account so you can text and take calls on a number your clients recognise, and give staff their own direct lines.

Marketli does not resell you a phone number. You bring your own Twilio account, and Marketli configures your numbers for two-way SMS and call forwarding. Calls and messages are billed to your Twilio account, and recordings stay in it.

Everything here is under Company → Phone, and only owners and admins can see it.

    What you need first

    • Your Twilio Account SID and Auth token.
    • An Australian phone number on your Twilio account with SMS capability.

Both come from the Twilio Console, which the setup card links to.

    Connecting

    1. Go to Company → Phone.
    2. Enter your Account SID — it starts with AC.
    3. Enter your Auth token. It is stored encrypted and never shown to you again; afterwards you will only ever see your SID.
    4. Click Connect Twilio.
    5. Under Choose your number, pick an incoming number from your account and click Use this number.

Numbers without SMS capability are shown but cannot be selected. If the list is empty, buy an SMS-capable number in the Twilio Console first, then refresh.

The first number you add becomes your main line automatically.

    Main line and direct lines

You can run one Main / reception line plus a direct line per staff member. On each number row:

    • Make main promotes a number to the reception line. You cannot remove the main line while other numbers exist — promote another one first.
    • Belongs to assigns the number to a staff member. Assigning it auto-fills the forwarding number with that person's own mobile.
    • Calls ring sets where calls to that number forward. Left unset it reads Voicemail only — tap to set.

Add more numbers from your Twilio account with Add a number.

Which number your texts send from

When your company has more than one number, the SMS composer shows a From pill. The default is picked in this order:

    1. The line the contact last texted in on.
    2. Your own assigned line.
    3. The main line.

You can override it per thread.

    Warnings you might see

"Calls to this number don't reach Marketli." Twilio is routing that number's incoming calls to a SIP trunk or a TwiML app, which overrides Marketli's webhook. In the Twilio Console open the number, go to Voice Configuration, and set Configure with to Webhook. SMS is unaffected.

A number assigned to someone who is no longer active staff. Reassign it or set it to unassigned.

    Missed calls and voicemail

Missed calls and voicemails show up in Conversations, inline in that contact's SMS thread. Recordings stay in your own Twilio account — Marketli streams them on demand and never keeps a copy.

    Disconnecting

Disconnect Twilio at the bottom removes Marketli's webhooks from your numbers and deletes the stored credentials. Your Twilio account and numbers stay yours.

Disconnecting ends any calls in progress and turns off browser calling until you reconnect. You have to type DISCONNECT to confirm.
