My Properties and your property page
How to start buying or selling, add a home you own, and open a home's own page to edit, archive, keep its documents, check its key facts, get reminders before key dates or open it to offers.
My Properties is your home page in Marketli. Your buying and selling workspaces sit at the top, under In Progress, and the homes you own are listed underneath, under Properties.
The New button
Tap New at the top of My Properties. It offers three choices:
- Start buying: starts a buying workspace, where you and your professionals work on the purchase together.
- Start selling: starts a selling workspace in the same way.
- Add a property: adds a home you own. Start typing the address, pick it from the list, check the details and tap Save property.
On a computer the same three choices are also in the New menu in the top bar, on any page.
Opening a property
Each home you add shows as a card under Properties, with its address, bedrooms and property type. Tap or click the card to open the home's own page.
If a card says Draft, the address still needs confirming. Tap it, find the right address and confirm it. After that it opens like any other home.
What is on a property's page
- The address, bedrooms and property type at the top.
- Edit: change your asking price, whether it is shown, and your private notes.
- Archive: removes the home from your list and stops it being matched to buyers. To bring it back, add the same address again with New and Add a property.
- Key facts: details pulled from your documents, like your insurance renewal date or your next rates due date. See below.
- Documents: your own files for this home. See below.
- Selling: tap Open to offers to show you are willing to be contacted about selling. You then see how many buyers are looking for a home like yours and can ask a local agent for an introduction. Buyer details stay private. Tap Stop sharing to switch it off.
Your documents
Each home's page has a Documents section for things like your contract, insurance, council rates notices, plans and warranties.
- Tap Add documents, then Choose files or Take a photo. You can add several files at once and each one shows its own progress.
- PDFs and JPEG, PNG or WebP photos can be added, up to 20 MB each. iPhone photos are converted to JPEG, and large photos are made smaller, on your device before they upload.
- Choosing a Type is optional.
- Tick This is a loan document for loan statements, contracts and offers. Loan documents are stored but never read.
- Tap View to open a document. Use the menu next to it to rename it, move it to another of your homes or delete it.
Only you can see your documents. Your professionals, brokers and agents can't see them.
If you archive a home, its documents are kept. Add the same address again and they come back with it.
Key facts
Documents are checked and read by an AI service to pull out a few key facts: your insurer, policy type, renewal date and sum insured; your council, rates amount and due date; your strata manager, levies and next AGM; and warranty items and when they expire. Policy and assessment numbers are kept as their last 4 characters only.
Each fact shows under Key facts on the home's page as Check this until you check it. Tap the document's name under the fact to open the document it came from, then Confirm if it is right, Edit to correct it, or Delete to remove it.
Under each document you may see how reading is going: Reading, Will be read next month (each account can have up to 300 pages read a month), Too large to read, still saved or Couldn't read this one. The document is kept either way.
Documents you mark with This is a loan document are never sent to the AI service at all. A document that turns out to be about a loan or a bank account is not read past its first page. Read more in our privacy policy.
Reminders
When you confirm a date under Key facts, like an insurance renewal, a rates due date, a strata AGM or a warranty expiry, Marketli reminds you 30 days and 7 days before it. Each reminder is a notification in Marketli and an email to your account's address, with the date, the home and the document it came from. A fact you have not confirmed yet shows Confirm to get reminders. If you confirm a date with less than 30 days to go, you get only the 7-day reminder. Archived homes get no reminders.
To stop the emails, go to Profile, then Notifications, and turn off Home Vault reminder emails. The notifications in Marketli carry on.
